Review rules, built into the product.
Turkey's Ministry of Trade updated its consumer review rules on 1 August 2026. Sayproof does not treat these rules as settings you switch on; they are how the product works.
- Regulation on Commercial Advertising and Unfair Commercial Practices, Art. 28/B (Official Gazette 33297)
- Advertising Board, Guideline on Consumer Reviews (12 September 2023)
The path of a review
Which rule applies at each step.
- Order28/B-1
The right to review comes from an order in your store.
- InvitationGuideline 8/5
No coupons, discounts or nudges in the invitation.
- Checks28/B-5 · Guideline 7/3
Suspicious reviews are flagged; positive and negative take the same path.
- Publishing28/B-3 · 28/B-4
Published in one stream, sorted by objective criteria.
- Rejection28/B-4 · Guideline 6/6
The reason is sent right away; the shopper can fix and resubmit.

When an auditor asks
The records you need are ready in the panel.
Period report
Totals, rejection reasons, removals and the rule versions applied, in one document.
Review history
Every action recorded with who did it, when and why; it cannot be deleted.
Verification code
Check in the panel that a downloaded file has not been changed since.
Security and personal data
What brands ask about most, and what the product actually does about it.
Two-step sign-in
Signing in to the Sayproof team's management screen always takes two steps. Panel users can turn on two-step sign-in for their own account. Passwords are at least 12 characters; common and guessable passwords are refused.
Account links
A password link goes only to the account's email address and is never shown to the person who asked for it. When a password or an email address changes, the account's address gets a notice, and if the address changed, both the old and the new one do.
Who looked at what
Every read that shows customers' personal data, by a server key or a Sayproof support session included, is recorded with who saw how many records and when, in a way that cannot be deleted. The record is visible in the panel and kept for 365 days.
Personal data requests and retention
Access, deletion, correction and objection are recorded in the panel. A deletion removes the name, email, photos and videos; names and contact details in review texts are replaced with marks; contact details on orders become pseudonyms. Even without a request, the email, phone and customer number on orders become pseudonyms when the review writing period ends.
Data region
Each brand is assigned to a data region, Türkiye or the European Union. Data stays on servers in that region and does not move between regions; brands' data is also kept apart at the database level.
Photos and videos
Files are prepared in the customer's browser before they are uploaded: a photo's location data is removed, and a video is reduced and made silent. Files are not at a public address until the review is published.
European Union
EU rules ask you to explain how reviews are verified rather than to verify them. In the EU market, reviews without proof of purchase can be published but do not get the badge; the method statement explains the difference.
What stays with you
These sit outside the product, in the brand's hands.
- Send real order data.
- If you use your own components, show the required elements.
- Do not ask shoppers to change their reviews.
- Use only verified reviews in advertising.
- Make decisions promptly and impartially.
