FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions e-commerce brands ask most when they look for a review system backed by proof of purchase, and Sayproof's answers.

  1. What is Sayproof?

Sayproof is a customer review platform for e-commerce brands, backed by proof of purchase. It ties every review to a real order in your store, puts suspicious reviews to your team for approval and publishes reviews on your site with a “Verified buyer” mark. Turkey's review rules, as updated on 1 August 2026, are built into how the product works.

  2. How are reviews tied to a real order?

Orders and deliveries reach Sayproof from your store system or a platform connection. A customer writes a review through the single-use link in the invitation message, or by verifying their order number and email address on the product page. The review form does not open without a verified order, and every review is stored together with the order and line it is based on. Reviews imported from a marketplace are the exception: they are shown with their source, under a label of their own.

  3. Does it comply with Turkey's review rules?

Sayproof works according to Article 28/B of the Regulation on Commercial Advertising and Unfair Commercial Practices (Official Gazette 33297, in force since 1 August 2026) and the Turkish Advertising Board's Guideline on Consumer Reviews: only buyers write reviews, positive and negative reviews go through the same path, sorting is objective and the reason for a rejected review is sent to the customer at once. The article-by-article mapping is on the Compliance page. This is not legal advice.

  4. Can I hide negative reviews?

No. Rejection reasons are a fixed list with no reason such as “negative” or “low rating”, and the publishing method cannot depend on the rating. The author of a rejected review always receives the reason and a time-limited link to correct it by email. You can answer a negative review with a seller reply, or with a resolution note once the problem is solved.

  5. Which e-commerce platforms does it work with?

Akinon, Shopify and WooCommerce orders are read through a platform connection. Any other platform sends its orders and deliveries to Sayproof with a request. Reviews are shown on every site with a script; there are ready kits for Next.js and Django/Jinja, and headless use for teams that want their own design.

  6. Can I show my reviews from marketplaces such as Trendyol or Hepsiburada on my site?

Yes. On the panel's Integration screen, the Marketplace reviews tab lets you set up a connection for Trendyol, Hepsiburada, Amazon, N11 or Çiçeksepeti. Sayproof does not collect reviews from marketplaces on its own; they are taken from a file you provide (CSV, Excel or JSON) or from an https link address. Only reviews written for your own store and marked by the marketplace as coming from buyers are taken; nothing is filtered out by rating or text length. Each review is published with a source label such as “Bought on Trendyol · Imported automatically from Trendyol” and a link to the review at the source, and carries no “Verified buyer” badge; the author's name is shortened. Imported reviews count towards the average and the review count, but they are not part of the structured data or the Google product reviews file.

  7. How do reviews look on my site?

The ready review component comes with eight designs and two layouts; you can match the colours to your brand or build the review section entirely with your own design. The method statement link, objective sort options and a single review stream are always part of the review section.

  8. Can shoppers add photos and videos to a review?

Yes. The review form prepares photos and videos in the shopper's browser before uploading them: a photo is reduced and its location data is removed, a video is reduced and made silent; the upload shows its progress and can be cancelled. If the browser cannot prepare a file, it is uploaded as it is when it is within the limits, and the same clean-up is applied on the server. Every file goes through a security scan, and files are not at a public address until the review is published.

  9. Do reviews show as stars on Google?

The server-rendered review section carries Product, AggregateRating and Review structured data (JSON-LD) along with the review text, so search engines see the reviews in the page's first HTML. Sayproof also prepares your published reviews as a product reviews feed for Google Merchant Center; you add the feed address to your Merchant Center account. Whether stars are shown in the search results is up to the search engine.

  10. Who sends the invitations?

You choose the route: Sayproof sends invitations by email (recommended), your own system sends them through a notification address, or your store asks for the review on its order details page. If your own system sends the invitations, the reminder goes to your system too. Rejection notices always go by email. Invitations contain no coupon, discount or incentive for a review; sending hours and the daily limit per person are your settings. WhatsApp invitations arrive with v2, as order-related service messages, not campaigns.

  11. Can shoppers ask questions on the product page?

Yes. With questions and answers on, a section with questions and answers appears under the reviews on the product page; your brand and customers who bought the product answer. Questions and answers are approved before they go live. You turn it on or off on the Questions screen in the panel.

  12. Can I manage several sites from one account?

Yes. A brand can have several channels (sites or points of sale), each with its own customer-facing name, sender address, market and method statement. The channel choice in the panel's top bar narrows numbers and lists to a single channel; brand-wide screens say why they are not filtered. A user account belongs to one brand.

  13. Where is our data stored?

Each brand is assigned to a data region and its data is stored on servers in that region; no data moves between regions. Brands' data is kept apart: on top of the application's own filters, the database itself locks every record to its brand, so a request from one brand can never read another brand's records. Personal data requests (access, rectification, erasure, objection) are handled in the panel: an erasure deletes the customer's name, email address, photos and videos, replaces names and contact details in review texts with marks and turns the contact details on their orders into pseudonyms. Even without a request, the email address, phone and customer number on orders are turned into pseudonyms when the review writing period ends; reviews and proof of purchase stay. If a privacy notice link is set on the channel, it is shown under the review forms and in the invitation email.

  14. Is there extra security for signing in to the panel and for personal data?

Signing in to the Sayproof team's management screen always takes two steps; panel users can turn on two-step sign-in for their own account. Passwords are at least 12 characters; common and guessable passwords are refused. Password links go only to the account's email address and are never shown to the person who asked for them; when a password or an email address changes, a notice is sent. Every read that shows customers' personal data, by server keys and a Sayproof support session included, is recorded with who saw how many records and when, in a way that cannot be deleted, and is visible on the panel's Activity history screen. The Sayproof team reaches your brand's data only through a support session it opens with a written reason and that is limited to one hour; the session shows in the Activity history.

  15. Can I take my data with me?

Yes. An administrator can prepare and download all of the brand's data (reviews and their history, photos and videos, orders, invitations, activity history, settings) as a single zip file. The export is also available while the service is frozen and for 30 days after it is closed.

  16. Can it be used on sites in the European Union?

Yes. EU rules require disclosure rather than verification; under Sayproof's EU market rule, reviews without proof of purchase can also be published, reviews with proof are set apart with a “Verified buyer” mark and the method statement explains how verification works.
